Do you mind if I quote a couple of your articles as long as I provide credit and sources back to your weblog? My blog is in the very same niche as yours and my visitors would certainly benefit from some of the information you present here. Please let me know if this ok with you. Many thanks!

I would advice your daughter as well as the other girl, being sidelined to adhere to the BAIL strategy. Laughing at the girl who is doing the bullying will disarm her instantly. When other girls become aware that they are not the only ones feeling that the bully is being unfair, they start to feel empowered as well.

Get your daughter and the other girl to start playing a very "cool" game that might attract the other girls attention. Very soon the bully will be alone or change her behavior.

As far as the defensive mom - you have to understand that it is very difficult for us as parents to hear anything negative about our children from anyone. It is instinctual behavior to protect our young. Hopefully after reflecting on this message from you, she will talk to her daughter. I would recommend to make the teachers aware of the issue as well in order to monitor the behavior at school and ALSO reward the bully when she changes her behavior in a positive manner!

Good luck

hi I just realised that my kid and her friends were being bullied by one of them in a group, so I contacted the mother and she was very defensive and I am concerned that she might not do anything about it. The parent that made me aware was concerned that her kid was being sidelined all the time - they were not playing with her when the bully is around(in the vicinity) and now that I confronted the bully my daughter is now being sidelined as well. I do not know how to put an end to this please advice. I am releived that my daughter is no longer being bullied but she is still feeling the impact because the bully stops the other friends from playing with the two of them
